A powerful new orchestral piece from Mike Omni.  Juggling it’s motifs between 3/4 and 4/4 the double basses and timpani boom with energy while the piano trickles notes down out of the higher regiment dexterously.  “Diloculo Salus,” is Latin for, “Dawn’s Salvation.”  Listen to this one LOUD.

Today’s track from Mike Omni feels like the title implies.  This Blues-esque guitar is reminiscent of a time when you had no adult worries and things were just all right.  Along with that happy carefree feeling, it carries a sense of loss for those easy times.

Mike Omni wants you to call a few dependable friends tonight, load up your pockets with shotgun ammunition and go get payback on those sons of bitches that killed your brother… ’s whole family.  With an all around eerie finality, this track manages to be haunting and hard at the same time.   It’s easy to see this one in the score of something from Frank Miller.

Undulating percussion and soaring, angelic pads keep this one from Mike Omni up in the clouds.  Solid rhythms and big thick analog synths drive the ambiance.  This is a good one for a drive late at night by yourself.

If in-the-pocket is where you like your music, then this Mike Omni tune is for you.  With an interesting amalgamation of driving breakbeats, dexterous funk bass, finger-tapped guitar hook, FX’ed out horn swells, and eerie Indian flute atmospheres, you’re left with a delightful little head-bobber that you might amp yourself up with on the way to your next big heist.

Mike Omni’s “Provocative Dreams” revolves in phases; from hopeful to yearning to triumphant and back again.  The Fender Rhodes MKII beds the whole track and teeters between beauty and cacophony.  The Ovation acoustic evokes a sense of loss and determination at the leading behest of a fat-bottomed Ocean one-piece bass.

A beautiful concert grand weaves melancholy within an eerie atmosphere in this piano solo from Mike Omni.  What starts with mourning crescendos into a powerful piece that sings of hope only to reiterate that the hard part is still ahead.

Mike Omni busts out the NI Akoustic and proceeds to channel his past life as a Vienna pianist.  This shifting piano solo lingers between loss and hope.
